Six photos from the 2016 FONTAGRO Photography Contest were selected to participate in the exhibit: “Challenging Adversity. Ibero America Copes with Climate Change”

Washington D. C., November 4, 2016.- Photos participating in the 2016 FONTAGRO Photography Contest (Concurso de Fotografía 2016 de FONTAGRO) were selected by AACIA/Ibero-American Cultural Attachés Association (AACIA -Asociación Iberoamericana de Agregados Culturales) – to participate in the 2016 exhibition FotoWeek DC. Annually, this initiative organizes a number of photography exhibitions with the participation of local and international photographers.
Within that framework, AACIA has organized an exhibition called “Challenging Adversity. Ibero America Copes with Climate Change”, and from that exhibition, six photos from the FONTAGRO Contest were selected. The exhibition gathers images representing projects and endeavors that bear witness to the countries’ commitment to the transformations of reality due to climate change.
The photos that are displayed in the exhibition are:

2. Cosechando raices/ Gathering Roots – Dario Enríquez – COLOMBIA
3. Cebollero/ Onion Farmer – Gerson Vargas – COSTA RICA
4. Maquinarias de noche/ Machinery by night– Brandon Giesbrecht – PARAGUAY
5. Valle Sagrado/ Sacred Valley – MusukNolte – PERU
6. Hércules, el recolector/ Hercules, the Gatherer – Kelvin Naar –DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The exhibition takes place in the Hillyer Art Space Gallery, Washington D. C. until December 18, 2016.
